Spring Festivals in Myrtle Beach

The days are getting longer and the ocean breeze is getting warmer which means one thing –  spring is officially here in Myrtle Beach! If you’re itching to get out of the house and break in that new pair of flips flops, there are plenty of exciting spring events happening in the next few months until summer hits. Spring in Myrtle Beach is the perfect time to spend time soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the mild temperatures at a fun festival!

Luck of the MarshWalk – Murrells Inlet

March 17th

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet! Throw on some green so you don’t get pinched and head to the inlet for one of their biggest events of the year. Festivities begin at 2 p.m. so come out and enjoy drink specials, live entertainment, and yummy Irish-inspired dishes!  

SOS Spring Safari

April 25th – May 4th

Taking place in the heart of North Myrtle Beach, shaggers from all over the East Coast flock to the beach for the SOS Spring Safari. North Myrtle Beach is believed to be the birthplace of the Carolina Shag dance, so no wonder tons of visitors come to celebrate the state dance of S.C.! The festivities include shag dancing, live music and a parade throughout downtown North Myrtle Beach.  

Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival

April 26th – April 28th

Held in downtown Myrtle Beach, the Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival has quickly become a fan favorite along the Grand Strand. The festival offers free admission for 3 days of food and fun near the beach! With plenty of food trucks to choose from, no matter what you’re craving – you’ll find something to satisfy your tastebuds. Festival attendees can enjoy kids activities, live music, and two beer stations.

Horry County Fair

April 19th – 28th

A fair so big it lasts 10 whole days! The Horry County Fair is held at the Myrtle Beach Speedway and offers a wide array of rides, live entertainment, a Battle of the Bands, and the best fair food around!

Blue Crab Festival

May 18th – 19th

The 38th annual Blue Crab Festival is a local’s favorite you won’t want to miss! Located along the waterfront in Little River, SC, you’re invited to experience the tastes of the Lowcountry. This infamous event includes live entertainment, kids activities, craft vendors and so much more. The star of the festival is, of course, the seafood, which is fresh and caught locally. Stroll through the booths for a taste of the coast and take home a piece of local artwork or two as a souvenir!
